When you come to my practice, I want you to have the best colonic possible – one that leaves you lighter, more energetic, and depending on why you’re coming in, relieved. For optimal results, a bit of preparation goes a long way: nourishing your body with the right foods, staying well-hydrated, and coming in with a calm, open mindset can make all the difference.
Starting with your diet:
· Eat lightly. This means avoiding processed foods, red meat, anything greasy and heavy. Instead,
focus on simple, nourishing meals like steamed vegetables, broths, fruits, and whole grains that are
easy to digest and won’t weigh down your system before your session.
· Incorporate more natural sources of fiber into meals. Whether you take up juicing or add more
vegetable to your meals, fiber keeps things moving, and supports a more effective cleanse.
· Drink plenty of water. Hydration softens stool and allows for a smoother cleansing process.
· Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and carbonated drinks. These can irritate the digestive system including to
increase a buildup of gas.
In addition to dietary adjustments, consider your schedule and mindset going into the appointment. Approaching the session calmly will help your colon relax, ensuring you get the most benefit from your colonic.
