What is a colonic
A colonic is the introduction of warm, filtered water into the colon. Using a machine, it sends water higher up than an enema does. It's a safe and effective way to revive the muscles responsible for elimination and to loosen waste that's on it's way out to exiting the colon.

We use a closed Prime Pacific system. During your session, you'll be lying down on your side or back, fully draped, as your therapist administers the machine. Feel free to zone out or chat away as the water stimulates your body to release. It's painfree, and you may even feel euphoric as the horomones dopamine and seratonin are stimulated! Colonics are very much about letting go - depending on the amount of waste eliminated, it's not uncommon to lose 5 - 20 pounds of waste. Most sessions last 45 minutes but can go longer or shorter depending on your response.
Why would I get a colonic
Colonics can benefit many people. Here are some use cases:
-
Bloated, constipated, experiencing IBS? Colonics can leave you with a lighter, less bloated feeling.
-
Avoiding your colonoscopy because of the prep? Colonics can replace conventional prep.
-
Recovering from surgery or cancer treatments? Let colonics detoxify your system.
-
Are you an athlete who wants to perform at their peak? Colonics removes waste, leading to enhanced nutrient absorption and improved hydration.
Here are some more:
-
When you're feeling foggy, sluggish, or low on energy
-
Before or after travel, especially long flights or time zone shifts
-
During a cleanse or fast, to support deeper detoxification
-
In the postpartum period, when digestion and hormones are adjusting
-
For emotional release, especially when stress or trauma is held in the body
-
And even to help clear the skin, from the inside out
When is a good time to get a colonic
Even the healthiest people can have an impacted colon. If you're experiencing chronic constipation, gas, bloating, or irregular bowel movements, colon hydrotherapy can help stimulate a sluggish system and bring relief. Colonics are also beneficial during recovery from surgery or cancer treatments, gently supporting the body’s detox process. If you're doing a liver cleanse or full-body detox, a colonic is essential to help flush out toxins that might otherwise recirculate through your system. More and more people are also turning to colonics as a natural, gentler alternative to traditional colonoscopy prep.

Overall, colonics can benefit a wide range of people and situations. Whether you’re feeling foggy or low on energy, recovering from travel, cleansing, or postpartum, colonics can help restore balance and clarity. They can ease bloating and IBS symptoms, support emotional release, and even improve skin clarity. Athletes use colonics to enhance performance through better nutrient absorption and hydration. From digestive discomfort to detoxification and beyond, colon hydrotherapy offers a powerful reset for both body and mind.

Whether you're seeking relief, balance, or better performance, colon hydrotherapy is a powerful tool for supporting your overall wellness.
How to prepare for a colonic
The best way to prepare for a colonic is to eat light and clean a few days before and a few days after. Drinking lots of water is advised. Try to remove anything that you're sensitive to or known inflammatories like dairy, gluten, processed sugar, alcohol, and caffeine. Focus on hydrating foods and natural sources of fiber.
Who should not get a colonic
There are many contraindications to getting a colonic. It's important to be upfront about your health history to help your practitioner make a decision about whether a colonic is a good idea for you. Contraindications include cardiac disease, uncontrolled hypertension, gastrointestinal conditions like Crohn's disease, diverticulitis or ulcerative colitis, recent abdominal surgery, severe hemorrhoids, rectal or intestinal bleeding, and pregnancy. Always consult your healthcare provider and share any concerns to ensure your safety and well-being.
What conditions or concerns can electro lymphatic drainage help with?
Electro Lymphatic Drainage (ELT) can help support a wide range of concerns related to sluggish lymph flow. Clients often seek it for issues such as bloating, inflammation, water retention, brain fog, fatigue, weakened immune function, and slow detoxification. It may also support recovery after illness, assist with post-surgical swelling, and help improve overall circulation and lymphatic movement. ELT gently encourages your body’s natural ability to detox, rebalance, and feel lighter and more energized.

The list of problems that electro lymphatic drainage treats is long, and here are some conditions that may be helped by this therapy.
-
Struggling with seasonal allergies or constant sinus buildup? ELT may help you feel clearer and more open.
-
Dealing with heaviness or swelling through Lymphedema/Edema? ELT can help support your body’s natural flow.
-
Managing chronic Colitis? ELT may help your system feel calmer and less inflamed.
-
Are your muscles feeling tight, crampy, or stiff? ELT may help ease tension and support muscle recovery.
-
Feeling stressed or experiencing elevated tension including high blood pressure? ELT may help your body shift into a calmer, more balanced state.
What is so effective about electro lymphatic drainage?
ELT is totally safe. The effects are based on the Principals of Quantum Physics. A beam of negatively charged ions is lightly applied to the surface of the skin, causing underlying congestion to break into tiny particles. The negative ions attract them to the moving lymph fluids, where they are ushered out of the body.
How soon will I notice results from my electro lymphatic drainage session?
One session will jump start the flow of lymph, and many clients feel lighter, less bloated, more relaxed, or less puffy after this one time.
A lot depends on your symptoms and level of toxicity. For some, results build gradually over several sessions as the lymphatic system begins to move more efficiently.

Factors like hydration, overall health, and how long symptoms have been present can influence how quickly you feel a change.
